The Jordanian experts have arrested a journalist over an altered image of 'The Last Supper'  with popular chef Salt Bae seasoning the food.

Mr. Mohammed al-Wakeel, who runs the Al Wakeel News website, was accused alongside an editor of impelling sectarian strife, a charge that could arrive them in prison for between a half year and three years, as indicated by Mail Online.

The News website was said to have distributed the retouched vision of 'The Last Supper' which sparked overall shock on social media.

Christians on social media marked the altered image which shows Turkish celebrity chef Nusret 'Salt Bae' Gokce remaining behind Jesus and performing his famous salt-sprinkling signal 'offensive.'

Wakeel has since apologized and has evacuated the image, saying it was a unintended 'botch' by a student editor following the backlash he got on the web.
